Arcane Saints - Ignite
So due
to these guys having to postpone their Canadian Shows due to unforeseen circumstances I wanted to share their music - BUT Not to
worry Canadians ! The new tour will be bigger and better.
Grunge rockers Arcane Saints came together when singer/guitarist Michael John (a relative of Iron Maiden founding member Steve Harris), invested his prize money from an international song writing competition and got a one-way ticket to Melbourne, Australia from his home country of New Zealand to form the quartet with bassist Jim Luxford, guitarist Michael “Sheep” Gooding and drummer Sam Sablinskis.
So off their album "Ignite" you get top notch music. {There is a little button there with an arrow............. I had a blond moment
early in the morning thus mentioning it.}I have
seen with many bands in New Zealand go to Australia, one of which is Ross
Royce. These guys like many of the bands down there have a solid rock sound,
work hard plus as you can tell by their
press photo are a lot of fun! http://www.arcanesaints.com/music.cfm
I will also note that you can pay for the
album or donate; I like to call it sponsoring
- Just like buying girl guide cookies you wouldn't take the cookies and run. These guys are traveling all over
and it costs so much, add in cost of recording, printing, PR and etc............ bands are not rich. so don't eat the cookies for free, donate, go to a show buy a shirt, do something nice, like email them and tell them how much you love their music.
Lapalux
So to keep with the Aussie Lapalux will be touring across Europe and Australia in May and June and he has sat on a bootleg for a
while and thought he would give it a way for free to celebrate 10,000 followers.
UK-based producer Lapalux, has created the remix of Mario's "Let Me
Love You," a song that flooded the radio in 2005. On his version of the tune, Lapalux in essence
redoes the song fully with touches of Ne-Yo's and Scott Storch's original. Also Mario's voice has also
been totally reconstructed by pitching up and down, and has chopping like most of the
song. Also note there is no rapping since it was cut out.
Lapalux’s EP "When you’re Gone" is available on ITunes as
well which is full of delicate, relaxing
and very unique sounds, which maybe that’s why I like the album since it’s not
what I hear all the time. I also say this as a person who is not generally into this genre of music. Download at http://soundcloud.com/lapalux/mario-let-me-love-you-lapalux/s-kocxk
BONUS - Since its a Rain Day here
Brighton-based
newcomer Bobby Champs blends crunchy, metallic techno with the heavy,
syncopated thuds of booty house on this exclusive cut, titled
"Klopfgeist." The tune is full of dark techno sounds, but also
features a vocal sample and grooving beat on par with the danciest of house
bangers. Bobby Champs is a recent signee to Pictures Music, but details of his
forthcoming release on the imprint have yet to be announced. For now check out
this free download @ http://www.xlr8r.com/mp3/2012/04/klopfgeist
