Independent Female Fronted bands do Fundraiser to help the

 women of the Downtown Eastside Womens Centre

Independent female fronted bands Uncle Sid, Night at the Chelsea, and Heatscore have teamed up to present a fundraising event called 'Girls with Guns: The Girly Rock Show' that will take place at Joe's Apartmenton March 30, 2012.This concert will feature performances from three independent bands, who all have female

singers.

Partial proceeds will go towards the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre.As many of you know the DEWC is a well-used resource that receives no government funding and is overworked with the demand for their services growing at a rapid pace.Take a moment to visit their website at www.dewc.ca

Overall it should be a great way to spend an evening, help out those in need and check out some up and coming local talent.
