S ince they have made it into this competition its our job to keep them there. Kourtnei's Corner - Where is the Originality?

Lady Gaga is by far one of the biggest celebrities out there and for a good reason. Her amazing voice, ability to perform and her unique style. Mostly her message to be unique, and that’s its ok for people to think your a “freak”. But it seems that somewhere along the way her message is getting lost, with fans trying so hard to be like her and Celebrities Like Rihanna coming on stage with Mickey mouse ears and an out fit that looked like one of Lady Gaga's. Making the only unique thing about her outfit was her camel toe. Let's be logical, Gaga’s style really only works for her. With everyone trying to steal it from her its no wonder that she comes out in outfits that keep seeming to get more scandalous.

Rev Up your Ears - 2010 MotoFest

You’ve waited for it all year, now you finally have the chance to kick it off right, this May Long Weekend head to the 2010 MOTOFEST, in the beautiful Okanagan and it will defiantly be a May Long to remember. An ALL DAY OUTDOOR MUSIC FESTIVAL With 10 hours of live music, 11 great bands, Beverage Gardens, camping and more.

The 2010 MotoFest is Located 10km north of the beautiful Vernon, BC (9531 HWY 97) At the Motoplex Speedway and Event Centre. On May 22nd, Starting at 1 pm till 11pm. It’s an all age’s event showcasing local talent like Vernon’s own Shattered Tone, Whitfield, the Street Kings plus many more. Also there will big bands such as Marianas Trench, Swollen Members, and GOB.

Remember that tickets to this event are limited and will defiantly sell fast so remember to get yours now (tickets available online at ticketweb.ca & A&W locations around the valley) or risk the chance of missing out on this awesome day of music, friends and good times.

Who’s body would you call sexy?

There’s more pressure then ever for girls to look a certain way , you see it everywhere its on TV magazines, movies and it effects everyone. the fact is that the standards for “ sexy” that are out there are completely unrealistic. When the media is bashing people like Mariah Carey and Jessica Simpson calling them fat for gaining a few pounds, these are celebrities that tons of girls look up to- so it’s not just the celebrities that this is affecting. No wonder there is more young people developing eating disorders then ever. If society’s emphasis on thinness doesn’t change more and more young girls are going to develop self-destructive behaviors’ just so that they can feel that they are sexy the way the media portrays it. And really what we should be focusing on is the talent; just because Mariah has gained a few pounds she still has an amazing voice and she says she’s happy and she still looks awesome so why aren’t we focusing on that.
